Glad to see we Irish are joint-top the list. Of course, as the token tea-totaller in Ireland, I can hardly claim much of the credit (though I suspect we rose a few places in the national pot consumption list when I moved back here).
Though to be honest, if the average Irish person spends more than a month of each year drinking heavily, I’m not sure it can be considered “binge” behaviour any longer.

I was in a bar the other night with an American, i said i will have a pint of Carlsberg, the yank said i will have a sherry, the barman said small or large? he said i will have the same as him, ok, one pint comming up!! typical yank!!.
